貓王Elvis Presley在1960年推出的這首《It's Now Or Never》，旋律是改編自義大利的歌曲《O Sole Mio / 我的太陽》，而翻唱的靈感來源，是當時還在德國服兵役的貓王，聽了美國歌手Tony Martin在1949同是翻唱自《O Sole Mio》的《There's No Tomorrow》。

之後貓王將他的想法告訴了他的音樂出版商Freddy Bienstock，Bienstock之前也替貓王找過幾次歌曲作家，回到紐約後，Bienstock找到了Aaron Schroeder 和 Wally Gold這兩位寫歌者，沒想到這兩位老兄花了不到半小時就完成了這首歌的歌詞，這也是他們倆在寫歌事業上成就最大的一首歌。
