在Frank Sinatra畢生所有的歌曲中，很多人都公認電影「奪標」主題曲的「My Way」，是知名度最高、也最能代表他的經典。

「My Way」原本是一首法文歌曲「Comme d'Habitude」，由歌曲的三位作者之一，被譽為60年代法國最傑出搖滾歌手之一的Claude Francois率先在1968年的同名專輯中唱出，描述一個男人因為事業而冷落了家庭，日復一日的過著枯燥無味的生活，使得妻子離開了他，如今後悔莫及，只能繼續假裝一切都沒有改變。

這首歌走紅於法語世界之後，著名的創作歌手Paul Anka因為深深受到感動，特別買下版權，填上英文歌詞而改編成了「My Way」，同時親自負責編曲，在1969年交由Frank Sinatra演唱，但是由於名次並不高（只得到第二十七名），而且Frank Sinatra的歌曲在當時的台灣早已不是市場的主流，所以國人知道這首歌的人並不多。

到了1973年，一部名不見經傳的小成本南非勵志電影「The Winner」取得歌曲的使用權，將它用為主題曲，才又再度的掀起熱潮。
